Vehicle description:
The 740.301 class is a four-axle diesel locomotive with DC power transmission and is designed for track and shunting service on national and regional railways and on sidings of 1,435 mm gauge (under the Czech Railways Act No. 266/94) at speeds of up to 80 km/h in the options defined in the loading diagram. The bogie assembly, underframe, driver’s cab and hoods are taken from the original 740 class locomotive.
